The Real Can You Hear Me Now Guy

from the he-exists dept

A lot of people seem to like the “can you hear me now?” commercials that Verizon has on these days with the Verizon service guy wandering through all different locations “testing” to make sure that they all have a Verizon signal. The AP has an article about the real Verizon service techs who are out there checking these things. It seems they have specially equipped cars that cost $250,000, which are making phone calls all the time as they drive around, and testing all sorts of different things. The cars also test the service levels of the other major wireless carriers in an attempt to make sure they have the best service. There are about 60 of these technicians, and they just get to spend their days driving around.
