Acacia's Streaming Media Patent Claims Go To Court

from the prior-art,-please? dept

Following up on last week’s story about how Acacia was going after online radio stations with it’s ridiculous streaming media patent (after they’d already gone after porn sites), it seems that they have enough faith in their patents that they’ve filed lawsuits against sites that haven’t paid. Hopefully, those sites can throw up some prior art and get the patent invalidated. We’re better off without these intellectual property extortionists.
