Team Designs Twist On Software

dsg writes in with a link to a story about a new input device, called ShapeTape, for computers developed by some researchers that could be useful for people doing technical drawings. It’s basically a bendable, twistable, rubber strip, combined with a foot pedal that you can twist into whatever shape you want, at which point the shape will appear on your computer monitor. Not sure how useful this is for everyday computing, but I could definitely see how product designers would find it tremendously useful.
