Koreans Facing Same Music Sharing Issues
from the sounds-familiar dept
It seems that it isn’t just the US with a stupid recording industry association forcing the closure of file trading systems that consumers use to find new music. Over in Korea, the Recording Industry Association of Korea is forcing a file sharing system to close, pissing off its users – who are threatening to boycott album buying in response. The users of the site say that the downturn in music buying isn’t because people are sharing music, but because the Korean music industry releases albums based on the musicians’ looks, and not their talent.

I can’t figure out what the US music industry releases albums based on, but IT isn’t talent either.
And to blame is ...?
but because the Korean music industry releases albums based on the musicians’ looks, and not their talent
You can thank that vapid craphole MTV for setting this precedent of looks over talent. Back in my day, bands were ugly and they rocked.
F*CK YOU MTV!
