Shawn Fanning Discusses Demise Of Napster

from the can't-stop-technology dept

The Wall Street Journal (reprinted for free at Yahoo) has an interview with Napster creator Shawn Fanning, where he talks about what went wrong. He basically says what we all know already: the music industry is doing everything they can to shut down technology, rather than figuring out how to give consumers what they want, like a normal business does. He also mentions that he has some ideas for new businesses, but he’s a bit burnt out on the music space.
