Caldera OpenLinux 2.2

from the close-but-no-cigar dept

Caldera’s is coming out with a consumer focused distribution of OpenLinux next week. The new distribution will include a fully graphical installation process including a Windows based partitioning utility.

While this is a major step forward, I still don’t think this will make Linux that much more appealing to the average consumer. Until Linux is fully graphical out-of-the-box like Win9x, it won’t be more than niche OS in the consumer space.
