Pimps Go High Tech With Camera Phones

from the so-many-wireless-applications dept

Just a few weeks ago we noted the “killer” application for camera phones might be that the Mafia in Italy was using it to let voters they bought off prove they voted for the approved candidate. It seems that the criminal element is picking up on the usefulness of picture messaging. Pimps in Hong Kong are apparently using picture messaging to send pictures of prostitutes to potential clients before closing the deal. With these sorts of examples of criminals using picture messaging (and despite counter examples of picture messaging catching crooks) how long until clueless lawmakers look to ban picture messaging for its use in crimes?
