British Film Institute Puts TV Shows, Movies Online For Free… Sorta

from the one-little-catch dept

The British Film Institute has done a great job putting hundreds of TV show and movie videos online for free, but there is a catch. You can only access the videos if you log on from a registered school or library. Also, they only include “clips” and not the full showing. They say they’re trying to get the rights to put up more material, but so far they’ve been limited in what they can offer. Of course, if this were the US, the industry would probably try to charge the students to access the material.
