Penis Pill Company Sued For Fraud

from the surprise-surprise...-they-don't-work dept

It should be of no surprise to anyone that the various “penis enlargement” pills that are advertised via spam don’t work – and, if anything, could be contaminated with stuff that harmful to you. However, no one’s really done anything about it. The FTC has admitted in the past that they’d much rather spend their time chasing after spam scams that involve financial fraud. Besides, it was pretty tough to find anyone who would actually admit to buying some of those pills… until now. John writes in to tell us that someone is now suing a bunch of companies involved in the penis pill spam business and is trying to get it turned into a class-action lawsuit for all of those too shy to come forward. A lawyer in the article points out that it’s unlikely to get class action treatment – and you still have to wonder how many people would actually come forward and admit to being in that “class”. Meanwhile, one of the companies sued is claiming innocence by saying they just ship the stuff, but have nothing to do with actually selling it.
