Who Needs The Recording Industry Anyway?

from the routing-around-the-damage dept

Popular singer, songwriter Paul Korda has written up an article for TechNewsWorld where he talks about his utter astonishment at how easy it was record his own album at home and get it online for people to listen to. In fact, to his complete surprise, he checked in on MP3.com (before Universal sold it and shut it down) and discovered that his music was one of their top downloads. Now, clearly, such unexpected successes won’t happen to everyone, but it’s interesting that he’s excited about getting his free music out there. He points out that, otherwise, no one ever would have heard these songs, and it could even be helping him sell his latest album.
