Scammed By Pluto?

from the check-your-cards dept

Plenty of scams make their way around the internet, but apparently a lot of people are suddenly noticing $30 charges on their credit card from some company called “Pluto Data.” If they call the number, they’re told they ordered a CD or DVD — though everyone denies that’s the case. Instead, some are suggesting that this is a scam using a bunch of stolen credit cards. It seems to be happening to a lot of people, so it might pay to check over your card statements carefully — though, I’m sure you do that already. The folks at Broadband Reports are trying to collectively figure out what’s going on.
