Misguided Investor Arrested For Spamming Company Employees

from the yeah,-that'll-work dept

If you’re an investor in a company and you’re hoping that they do better, there are a few things that you can do, but inundating them with threatening emails telling them to announce good news probably isn’t going to be that effective. However, it appears that one investor in mobile equipment provider UTStarcom has been bombarding employees of the firm with various threats and demanding that they release some good news. The company even had to change their security practices to protect against the guy who was still emailing this week, until he was arrested by the FBI yesterday. It makes you wonder exactly what this guy hoped to accomplish, other than freaking out employees and costing the company plenty of extra money in new security measures.
