IT Managers Have Spam Under Control

from the lucky-worker-bees dept

A year and a half ago, we wrote about a study saying that most people didn’t get too much spam at the office. It was mostly a personal email account problem. Nowadays, Symantec was surprised to find that the results are basically the same: most people don’t think spam is a problem at work – if they’re ordinary employees. The IT staff, however, tells a very different story. To them, spam is a huge problem. What this suggests, of course, is that the IT staff, for all their hair pulling, is actually doing a fairly good job blocking spam and keeping it out of employee inboxes.
