Poland Says No To Software Patents

As the battle over software patents in Europe heats up, it looks like Poland has been convinced that software patents are bad news. That move means it’s unlikely the proposal has enough backing to get approved. The Polish government made it clear that they had serious reservations about software patents, and would support a different proposal that removed them from the table. What this means is that, despite looking almost like a done deal, enough people effectively made the case that software patents were bad for innovation. Now, if only someone could make the case as effectively here in the US.
