By now, you all (should) know about 419 advance fee scammers from Nigeria. Despite regular claims of plans to crackdown on the scams, the Nigerian government had done very little. In fact, there were claims that up until a year ago, not a single person in Nigeria was in jail for such crimes. That’s starting to change, with new reports saying that about 500 people have been arrested with another 500 under investigation. Of course, that sounds like a tiny percentage of the scammers, and it didn’t seem all that difficult for the Associated Press reporter who wrote the above article to track down plenty of scammers who are quite proud of their scamming ability. It certainly still appears that scamming is a way of life for many Nigerians who find that it’s a lot easier and a lot more lucrative than other jobs… which are often hard to find.

Because i had been scam’ed by a Mark Jones two years ago.
This man said i have a$2.3 million. but first before i could have it brought to me i had to pay $400. for the fee.
I had told him i didn’t have no moeny to give when i don’t have no proof of who he is there was no paper work no nothing he was emailing me back to back asking me over and over about haven the $400. for this fee.
I told him i didn’t want the money because in the first place Mark Jones got a little over $2,000.00 from me.
I then said i can’t miss something i never had I told him this was nothing more then a scam Miss Marple from the scam site she has helped me and so so many woman and man from being scamed and I think the good Lord for her she’s not afraid to step forword. My goodness people if you have been scamed step forword and trun it in to the http:delphifaq.com
In order for us to put these scammers away in the site i gave you don’t have to give your name email address only if you want to i did give my name. I’m tried of Nigeria men trying to take my money I’m 64 years old.Let these lazy people get a real job their heartless they don’t care if they get your money they don’t care if you have children this is a crying shame these sorry good for nothing men and woman to that are scaming.
Repeat over and over to yourself these Scammer’s need to be put in jail. That’s why they walk freely because no one wants to come forword don’t be afraid. Be afraid for your children.
After Mark Jones scamed me out of my money and from bingos i won off of i made a promise to my self never again will i
let no man scam me.
Now i must go don’t be afraid to come forword !.

This scammer i was involved with for some reason claimed that he loved me even though he didnt even know what i looked like. One thing about these scammers they are nothing but liers!
Mark Jones he was a good one for that he said he use to be married he caught his ex-wife in bed with his best friend.
That he has a son 14 years old at that time.
The sad part on this case from all the sweet things he was saying to me i fail for it. You see when i was nothing but three years old i was badly child abused no motherly love was ever given me no hug’s holding me on her lap her warm hands touching mine! never once did i hear her words that she loved me all i heard was how she hated me she should have gotten rid of me i was put up on chair’s just to be knocked off them by her.
All the name’s i was called from A-Z being as young as i was those name’s ment nothing to me until i got old enough to understand each meaning of the word’s my mother called me.By the time i reached 13 i no longer want’ed to live i grew up so hugrey for her love. So many bad thing’s happen to me one thing after another i made so many wrong choices.
I wanted so much to be loved to belong I had no self atream.
I wanted to die !.
I had a mother and yet i didn’t she was there and yet she wasn’t.
This was why it was so easy for me to latch on to the man i married ! I was beaten by this man.
My main point is these scammers knows our week point’s
It didn’t help any he new all the right thing’s to say to me.
I just want’ed to be loved to hear those words.

To all of you thats being scamed or in the line up of being scammed wake up befor it’s becomes to late.

i have been talking to 3 guys on the internet and these 3 all happen to be in lagos nigeria. the one said he is a chef and they paid him for working there and the bank wont cash his check because its a united states check, now if your working in nigeria why would they give you a check you cant cash there. he said he needed 650 dollars to pay his hotel bill and come back to the ststes. the 2nd one says he ran out of money and the bank there wont cash a travelers check. he ask me for290 dollars for him to be able to send the check to me to cash. the 3rd one is there trying to get some papers he said he needs and he needs me to send him 500.00 dollars so he can get them. they all seemed like really good guys and they sweet talk you and tell you about all this money they have and how they are going to take care of you. one of them has even sent me roses saying he loves me but when i tell them i have no money they get mad. 8i believe they are all scammers. so people be careful. i have not sent any money. and am not going to.

Hi to go a long with what you just said it brings to mind what Mark Jones told me he said some body broke in to his checking acct. and took all his money in the first place theres is no way because then it becomes a in side job I told him there was no way because only he had the number to his safe box for his acct. It was nothing more.
I read in the scaming site that these scammers are trained in what to say. If they can’t get no more from the ones their trying to scam then they pass that person to the next scammer.Even now Mark Jones is trying to pull $90. from me he goes by the name flesh_onwater@yahoo.com
one thing about scammers they get greedy then they become careless and this is how they honest to God hang them selfs.
You see i also on the web site was gone to Kaplan Univerity for CJ. I did my home home off of the new’s on different criems i had to put down where i found it who it was by i never took the crited that another person from the news re-porters did.

I think you for your time and for letting me add on to what i know about these scammers. I just want you woman and man to know if you have been scamed or you are being scamed don’t be scared turn it in they can’t hurt you any more only if you allow them to.

I too have been a victim of a scammer from Nigeria. He claimed that his name is William Dave Dick. He is supposedly from Miami, Florida. He claimed to have been stranded in Nigeria. He wanted me to send him some money because he was going to be put in jail if i didnt. Today was the day he was supposed to have been put in jail. As soon as he found out i couldnt send him any money he told me goodbye.

At this point in time i’m chatting to a guy that ‘lives in london he’s a computer engineer and an african art dealer!’. he sounds like my prince on a white steed,lovely,also really quite good looking and i have several pic’s that he sent me,a heart renching story about his ex cheating on him and lets be honest we all have some horrid storys,and may be i’m being cinical but we do! other than some spelling errors and typos i have nothing to go on i have tryed to do an I.P reverse,but some and not all of the e-mails i get from this person are taking 5 minutes or more to down load!!!and so much txt is missing or lost on msn, i have friends in the usa,nz,oz and spain and france do i need to go on!and i have no problem and no lost txt when i chat to them!! But i do with the uk/usa guy in nigiria? i may be wrong and if i’m, i will let you know as he was hoping to be back this wkend(u.k)? it a case of wait and will see! But watch this space!!!
Also i told him that there has been alot on the national and international news re the scams in Nigeria he had no idea this was happening and totally horrifid that the internet was open to scams!!i’m scratching my head on this,so wot do you think?pls let me know……

you talk about someone saying he s from america with a link from uk? Ive dealt with nigerian scammers its easy to see they are nigerians their phonenumbers are linked to the uk as well and if you check their ip-adress you ll find nigeria!but they can go satellite saying america.
I cant understand the nigerians being upset about this. Its for real , and nigerians only say ” it happens elsewhere too!” (as if it s justified then)Do smth about it its your country for Gods sake. The 419 will bite you in the ass!

project. I caught onto him right away. He is a scammer….from the gitgo. His IM name (sentence) reads “where have u been all my life cute one bent”. In his photo he is wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt with some lettering on it and he is standing in the kitchen by the sink.
I am going to have him send me an email so I can add full headers and turn his pudgy butt in to the authorities. Like I said………..he is definately a scammer. I ended instant message to research him in scams and I found you.
He’s MUGU. Do not do anything for him. I do not know his game yet. He first contacted me last night on 2jive.com a subsidiary of the Relationship exchange. He seems to be rather dense and slow catching on to some of the everyday american jargon. Hope this does not come too late for you.

Claims to be in the service in Afghanistan and marrying Nov 26 but I cannot get him to even say where the ceremony will take place. ha

For the record, “Darren Bent” is a famous soccer or Football star in europe.
This scammer guy can’t even think of a name on his own.

Try getting scammed by someone you think is going to rent there house to you. We thought we found a great place to move in to. Perfact for my baby girl. A man said that his family had to move for job reasons to Washington From vancouver island, leaving there lovely house vaccent, but he had gone to Mushin Logos Nigeria on a missin For god leaving his family in washington. His Wife then started e-mailing me to confirm the rental application and such, when she wanted me to send her husband money for rent to Mushins Lagos Nigeria via Western Union but never asked for a deposit or anything for my pets. I thought it all sounded suspicious when she kept reassuring me that we should trust eathother and send the money and she’d send keys. It sounded very persistant. So I googled around and found out that Nigeria is the FRAUD CAPITAL.. I’m so lucky that I had caught this before I carried through with the rental process. It’s not that hard to be fooled by these people when your seriously looking for what they are offering. Like a place to rent for your new family, in my case.

This jerk claimed to be from colorado “denver” working for shell as a private contractor. He never gave much information but I did a background check which didn’t check out.I questioned him of course he denied it.. He told me how much he loved me and I was his dream girl…ect…I asked him for his address he gave it to me except it was not his address, so I told him wrong address and he gave me another one.. wrong again.. I actually called that “steve Roitman” while communicating with the other nijeria”steve”. Long story short, he asked for money, I didn’t give it to him… He has then left me alone… BUt it’s sad that these “jerks” play on people’s feeling.. I meet him on eharmony… Beware…

I work for a major Intl airlines, please, please, do not ever send money to people you talk to over the internet, every day I have at least two passengers that call saying they sent money to someone they met over the internet for an emergency or a flight to come to the US and they never hear from them again. You can prepay a refundable plane ticket through a TA and if that person doesn’t pick it up at the departure city you can ask for a refund. Once they are at the airport all departure taxes are included in the ticket so do not send money to supposedly pay at the airport to leave the country, that is another scam I hear about. Hope this helps someone.

I met this real sweet guy. i met him on the site: singlesnet.com. he emailed me picturesand i still can’t place that voice with those pictures. two days after we started talking on yahoo messager, he asked for 200.00 dollars. i told him I didn’t have it but I sent him 100 dollars be westernunion. Recently got on match.com – right off I was contacted by Keith Oman – email is omankeith1@yahoo.com. He had photos -a very handsome man in a suit – who wouldn’t fall in love with him. When it came down to calling me he said – I have a bit of an accent I hope you don’t mind. Couldn’t understand a word he said. He told me he had a son 14 yrs old – that his parents were killed in an auto accident while traveling in Paris. The child’s mother has died and that he was divorced because his wife was running around on him and said that he wasn’t man enough for her. The son’s birthday is coming up and they ask me to purchase a Play Station 2. I did not. He did become a bit angry about that but we continue to talk. He said he makes $250,000. I say I am sooo sorry – poor baby and of course that was the money he needed to come back to the states to see me. He says I do not trust him – that is the understatment of the world. I met Jeff Cole on blackpeoplemeet.com and his username was funsharelove. He claim to be an African arts dealer and was leaving Ireland going to Nigeria to purchase art. However things happen and he needed money to come back home and like a love sick puppy sent it. I sent $380 to Dr olabode Ogedengbe to pay for hospital bill after jeff accident on way to airport. next sent $420 to jeff for bta again but got robbed when he picked up the money. Fnal time $350 sent to a pastor Olabode Adesida but to my suprise Jeff had borrow $280 from pastor and wanted me to pay him. All the love Jeff gave me cause me to believe him and that why I sent the money. I hope something can be done about this problem because they make a bad name for this country. And I can see Nigerian owing America $15BLLION by time the Nigerian finish with us America should owne the country.

Lost wife and home in Katrina, has two kids who will be graduting from college. Sent pictures of himself I in turn sent picture of myself which i am very regret it. After few weeks of emotional building although i had my suspision and i was on guard, i had fallen hard for this sweet genuine sounding lovy douvy talk. But one day via IM when he sent email and wanted me to read which sounded alarming his daughter is in the hospital from gun shot wound and all his family was hurt from robbery attempt, I knew all came down, real him, the “truth”, I didn’t give him money. I ended it all, but I still suffer from incident it deeply effected me. I am still curious and hard to connect with the cute man from the pictures and monster who prey on, suck blood money from others. Only athority will find that out for me?

I met this great guy on the internet. He was so sweet and loving. He even sent me 2 dozen roses on the day he “left” for Nigeria to buy gold. He is a jeweler and needed it for a custom piece. His name is Martin Watkins. He took his dog with him.(?) On his second night there he got mugged and they took his credit card. He needs $1200 to get out of the hospital so he can come home. I am assuming this is a scam….anyone else know the name.

I told this guy I was flying there to give him money once I had caught on to what he has done and he suddenly did not want me there and said he needed money right away and it could not wait 24 hours till I got there.
He denies every bit of it, bit the fact is that I have been ripped off adn I have learned my lesson. He told me he was staying at the Bobcat Motel, 36 Adikatu Street Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria 23401. Has anybody heard of this address?

Baby, I am seeking for your help if you could willing do it for me, I will really appreciate it, I want you to lend me $2000, just to pay up my debts here and I am gonna refund it as soon as I have my ATM card back immediately. Baby just try and be of help. I promise to refund the money back to you and I am so sure that my Pay check will be ready before they send back my ATM card so I will just be coming up to France to cash out my check and plan ahead our marriage. Baby, please I would love to hear a favorably reply back from you soon”
Of course I didn’t send him any money and I hope this information could help avoiding this scammer!

His English is not very good either. He downloaded the pictures from the internet but I am unable to trace them yet. Have you spoken with this guy Michael Cole on the phone? Is he also James Cole supposedly an Australian from Melbourne who has grown up in Russia. I’ve spoken on the phone with him and the accent doesn’t sound right for someone who spent such a long time in Russia, yet it doesn’t sound Nigerian either. James’ supposed to be a self employed civil engineer who is working in Leeds England overseeing the building of bridges. He is very flattering and sweet and seems sincere . . . but the flattery seems too extreme to be genuine. He has asked a lot of questions about me and now has a lot of extraneous details about me, but when I really look at it, I know very little about him, For someone who is meant to be God fearing, he moves very fast and doesn’t talk about God much. For anyone who has a faith as a central part of their life it is very out of character. Something else that rang alarm bells is this . . . From memory, Civil Engineers have to be registered and I can’t find him registered in Melbourne Australia where he is supposedly from. He should also have a wensite if he is Selfemployed and yet nothing came up on a google search. I am of Russian Descent and I asked him what my name meant since he supposedly lived in Russia until he was 20. My name is a very familiar and somewhat infamous/well known name in Russia and he could not tell me what it meant. I found that odd.

He didn’t contact me for about 4-5 days…when he did contact me he said he was sorry and asked me to forgive him. The next time was when he again went to Accra and his son was sick and needed money for the hospital bills. He took his son home but the the job in Accra wasn’t finished. When he went back to Accra to finish the job he needed to get 5 store rooms to hold the containers of the car parts. He only had enough money for 4 rooms and needed $1,000.00 for the fifth one. I still said no he got Very angry and I haven’t heard from him since. He was supposed to be here this week to finally meet me. Of course he didn’t show. He gave me a fake cell phone number. His business isn’t listed anywhere that I can find. He knows I am on to him…so Ladies beware!! He goes by the name Benard Bright Bentil. He is white and very good looking (if that is his real picture)I did some looking into it and it is a Glamour Shot picture. If you look of Face Book you can see a picture of the ring. Probably a face too. He told me the ring cost 12,000.00 GBP converts to about 18,500.00 There is NO WAY that ring cost that much…another lie!

I asked him why his secretary couldn’t send him a copy of the document, he said he had the original documents with him and forgot to make copies…who doesn’t make copies of important documents if you own your own business? I told him I would try and help him and I would contact him in a few hours. It sounded suspicious & I decided against it. He got really angry with me and said that if I really loved him I would do this for him. He didn’t contact me for about 4-5 days…when he did contact me he said he was sorry and asked me to forgive him. The next time was when he again went to Accra and his son was sick and needed money for the hospital bills. He took his son home but the the job in Accra wasn’t finished. When he went back to Accra to finish the job he needed to get 5 store rooms to hold the containers of the car parts. He only had enough money for 4 rooms and needed $1,000.00 for the fifth one. I still said no he got Very angry and I haven’t heard from him since. He was supposed to be here this week to finally meet me. Of course he didn’t show. He gave me a fake cell phone number. His business isn’t listed anywhere that I can find. He knows I am on to him…so Ladies beware!! He goes by the name Benard Bright Bentil. He is white and very good looking (if that is his real picture)I did some looking into it and it is a Glamour Shot picture. If you look of Face Book you can see a picture of the ring. Probably a face too. He told me the ring cost 12,000.00 GBP converts to about 18,500.00 There is NO WAY that ring cost that much…another lie!

(He called me all the things in these comments, like Babe, the Woman of My Dream, etc. Over the course of a weekend, he has gone so far as to threaten to kill himself because he has no “means” to EAT?!? His mum needs a knee op and he is saving to pay for this…He didn’t get to ask me for money..I could see it coming though, however, last night I had a chat about all the other scammers I had come across…he was amazed…LOL, this morning I get an email from him which was identical to one I got from James Cole…titled: things I want to do with you….Just a while ago I sent him a message telling him I now know he’s a scammer too and to not contact me anymore…we will see what happens.
ALL OF THESE IDIOTS WERE ON MATCH.COM, both James and Mark have since removed their profiles…Thomas however still has his up…They are all really good looking men. BEWARE

The one that had contacted me did not have a son but was adopted by Spanish parents at a young age. Had sent quite a bit of money of the months to help him as had truly believed everything he had said. Just was hoping he was real as everything he had said to me via email, chat and on the phone had seemed so real. After 2 weeks of talking he suddenly tells me his credit card was frozen and he needed $400 in order to get it unfroze (yeah right..RED FLAG). I told him under no circumstances will I send money to someone I never met. Now he gets all depressed because he has no way of feeding him and his son. His son is supposedly 15 and travels with him because he has nobody to watch him since his wife died 10 years ago from a asthma attack.

I again told him I can’t send him money and for him to email me a copy of his US drivers license and passport. He sent me a copy of *a* passport. The picture on the passport was indeed the same person in the picture on the dating site and he has several pictures of the same person. Only thing is…the picture on the passport was crudely cut and you can tell it was a picture that wouldn’t be acceptable as one for a passport. It looked as though it was cut with unsharpened scissors and the main use was to cover the original picture.

When I still refused to send money and accused him of being a scammer he sent me a copy of a check for $40,000. He said he was unable to cash it in africa and if I could please see if I could borrow money so he could get back to the states. Not happening!!! I then asked him why on earth would you travel to a foreign country with a one way ticket. He claimed he needed to get there to get the job started and there were no round trip tickets available. Yeah…I’m that dumb huh?? I told him there is nothing I could do and since he refused to go to the american consulate as I advised before that I would contact them on his behalf if he would just forward me an address and phone number. LOL…that was the last I heard from him.

I wasnt sure about sending him money for that. So I told her that I dont have the money. She then asked for my bank info so that her uncle could send me the money via bank. I said no thanks. She now tells me that he is sending me money $900 via cash points. So I can send the lawyer the $450 and the other $450 send to her mom for doctor bills. This all sounds like a scam. I asked her to call me and she told me she doesnt have minutes on her phone and cant call. I said use your Uncle’s phone. She said she will try tomorrow. She also told me how she was in the hospital for “menstrual” pains, and I didnt believe that, but she sent me a pic with her in the hospital and stuff. Is this scam? I havent sent her any money.

Here in the u.s. we have other options and people just dont respect you if you are a con artist or thief. for them it seems to be ok even with church going people who say they are christians. it doesnt happen to stupid people. Well get this, this would be scammer, I am almost sure, contacted me thru a political blog,wanting to talk politics,which we did, then I friended him on FB, put in a category all his own, not with friends.

He told me who he was, gave me his cell number, website, told me you look his business up, it was all there, various pictures were there and it was the same guy on FB, just different pics. Cell checked out to be city he was from etc. then after 2 weeks, he lands this Construction contract in Johannesburg Africa. Gets over there, than asks me if I can send his son, here in the USA who is in college, 485. for text books, something about his card didn’t go thru and the son needs the books right away. I didn’t do it. Listened to gut feeling, but this guy got me to become emotionally involved almost. I put him off, then he has been kind of lax getting ahold of me (Punishing me probably) then he texts how hurt he is that I wont’ help his 22 year old son, whom I also have a picture off. Then all of a sudden, he only wants to communicate by cell phone and not online. Boy this guy is good or he has stolen this poor businesmans identity.
