Former Intermix CEO Ponies Up Spyware Fine

Intermix, accused by the New York attorney general of serruptitiously installing software on people’s computers, settled the claims five months ago, agreeing to mend its ways and pay out a few million dollars. Today, the company’s former CEO, Brad Greenspan, settled a personal suit with the AG, agreeing to pay a $750,000 fine to settle allegations he directed employees to start distributing the adware/spyware programs surreptitiously via bundling. Guess his funds to try to block the News. Corp buyout of Intermix just took a hit.
