Broadband Via Gas Lines: Invisible, Funny-Smelling

from the bandwidth-measured-in-cubic-feet dept

Back in May, we reported on a company that said it was working on delivering wireless broadband through natural gas lines. Like other supposed new broadband technologies, we tend to remain skeptical of them until paying customers are actually using it to surf the web. Six months later, gas-pipe broadband is back in the news, with the new development being that, well, there’s no new development. The company behind the technology apparently still has no working products, and hasn’t tried it in the field. While we’d welcome more competition in the broadband market, it sounds like it’s going to be a while — if ever — for it to come from gas pipes.

My new invention...

My new company is currenly working on delivering wireless broadband through good ole H2O. That’s right, soon your high speed internet will be available through your very own TAP WATER.

Sure, we don’t have any working products yet, but believe me, WE WILL. Just you wait. Why would I make this shit up? Seriously, we’ll do it. I swear. I’d say we’re about 73% done with the research and about 63% done with our finished working product.
