Why Aren't We Going Wireless?

Good question. There are many issues at play with that question. But for the most part the industry itself is to blame. For example, executives at a CES wireless panel admit they can’t compete on prices alone for handset and services. Of course not, and its their own damn fault. On the handset side the industry has trained customers to expect free equipment. That is just not going to scale to more sophisticated handsets. On the services side, its all about execution. The sad fact is that few wireless services ever meet hyped expectations due to over marketing. The problem with wireless in the US is as simple as Marketing 101.
