CTIA Tells Carriers To Ban Porn, As If It's That Easy

The ever helpful CTIA has now announced that they’re coming up with guidelines that all US carriers should follow to block kids from accessing adult content. It makes for a great headline, but the reality isn’t so simple. Plenty of carriers around the world have tried to block off smut and it tends to cause more problems than it solves. Simply coming up with a bunch of random guidelines doesn’t solve the problem. In fact, it risks making the situation worse by having parents and operators think they’ve successfully blocked kids from reaching adult material when the content is still quite accessible.
