Ricochet's Comeback Didn't Last Long

At the beginning of last month, Ricochet’s latest owner, Terabeam, detailed its latest comeback plans, saying the service would get in to the municipal wireless business. Now, after some poor quarterly results, the company has hired advisers “to explore a variety of possible strategic alternatives” for Ricochet, including the possibility of yet another sale. Ricochet was a good service that was well ahead of its time, but it’s failed to keep up with the evolving mobile communications market, and it’s hard to see anything but a bleak future for it.
