Cops Go WiFi

While some police are trying to crackdown on WiFi users, others are learning to embrace WiFi to help them in their job. The article describes a number of ways the police are making use of wireless technologies, including better parking violation citations in New York City. The police found that the wireless technology doesn’t necessarily make them faster but it does make them a lot more accurate – meaning that they’re getting a lot more money from the tickets they do write, since not nearly as many are being tossed out for mistakes.
