Kwickee Bitesize… Wikipedia Mobile?

Textually points to 160Characters story about a new service called Kwickee Bitesize. It’s a mobile service where anyone can submit info on anything by SMS (sports, travel info, health info, fashion, fiction stories, etc.) and then anyone will be able to receive that content for a small fee. 60% of the fees collected go to the author. In other words, it becomes a clearinghouse of info, where anyone can submit the info, and they get paid based on how much it’s used. A very interesting idea, and one that seems sort of like Wikipedia for mobile phones. However, the problem arises in determining whether you’re willing to receive content from just anyone. Without some sort of explicit rating system (which has its own problems), how do you know you’re getting worthwhile content. When you’re just getting a short snippet of text, if it’s no good, you could end up angering a lot more users than you’re helping.
