A Garage.com For Scripts and Producers
from the copying-business-models dept
One of the smart ways to be an entrepreneur if you don’t have a brilliant new idea yourself, is to take an existing business model and convert it to a new market. Everyone in Silicon Valley is always comparing starting a company to being a screen writer (and while there are plenty of similarities, I think a lot of it is so that entrepreneurs feel a little less geeky). One of the well known companies in the Valley is Garage.com for hooking up entrepreneurs to investors. So, is it any surprise that a company is now bringing together scripts, producers and directors? Of course, I wonder if it will have the same connotation as Garage.com often has (though rarely spoken) that it’s where “the other plans” go.
