No Big Surprise: After Public Outcry, IMDB Lets BitTorrent Movie In

from the the-power-of-public-outcry dept

We recently covered the story of how a filmmaker claimed (without much evidence) that IMDB wouldn’t list his latest movie project, because he planned to release it via BitTorrent. Not the first torrent movie.

This person might like to think they are the ‘first’ motion picture released legally on bittorrent, but they aren’t.

For those that don’t know or may be curious – try ‘Star Wreck: In the Pirkininng’ This may not have been the first legal movie released on Bittorrent, but it is the one I remember the best. And, it’s pretty good too.

Recommended for anybody who liked Babylon 5 and Star Trek, who can also stand subtitles cause the main dialog isn’t in english.
