Civil Disobedience Planned For Webcasters

from the go-find-'em dept

With all the crazy back and forth arguments that went on about the webcasters/RIAA “compromise”, the important date in all of this is this coming Sunday when all back royalties from 1998 onward are officially due. So are webcasters freaking out? No. In fact, many are planning some “civil disobedience” by simply ignoring the RIAA and figuring they’ll wait until the RIAA finds them. I’m sure the RIAA has no problem sending their pack of wild lawyers after every internet radio station they can find, but plenty (especially the smaller ones) should be able to stick around for a while.
