Coffee Makers Discover The Internet
from the well,-it's-about-time dept
Does anyone else think it’s a little weird that the coffee industry held a one day seminar on e-commerce? Apparently, they’re not big users of the internet, and many people think it will help the industry become more efficient. I guess GreatCoffee.com was just ahead of their time (the site is basically a graveyard site – it’s all there, but nothing works).

The title implies that the ubiquitous home appliance — the coffee maker — will soon be plug into the net. Too bad the article wasn’t about that.
I can’t wait until I can log into my coffee maker from work and tell it to have a cup of coffee ready for me when I walk through the door. Or log into my VCR from work and tell it to record Undeclared because I’ll be at work late. Or log into my vacuum cleaner and tell it to vacuum the house because I’ll have company coming home with me. Ahhhh… Ain’t the future great?
