Düsseldorf Goes Wireless
Yet another municipally-sponsored WiFi project. This time, the city of Dusseldorf, in Germany, is getting ready to set up a city-wide WiFi system, which will be free for city employees and students to use – but which will cost extra for everyone else. Reading the details, the definition of “city-wide” might be somewhat limited. It sounds like they’re really just installing access-points at all the schools around the city. As such, the access points will also include “content filters”.
