DoCoMo 3G Coming On Strong
Well, look at DoCoMo go… They went from the top of the heap to a disappointment when they rushed out their 3G FOMA service a couple of years ago. However, a few weeks back we noticed that their seemed to be good news showing up for DoCoMo as their debt rating was being raised. Part of that is due to the fact that FOMA is finally generating interest. In the last four months alone, DoCoMo has doubled their FOMA subscribers so that it’s now over two million. Look for them to continue to ride that momentum upwards. The major stumbling blocks (awful expensive phones and bad coverage) have been dealt with, and the situation seems to only be getting better. Of course, now that they’re considering jumping into the whole AT&T Wireless bidding war, it will be interesting to see if that impacts what they’re doing at home.
