Earlier this year, we had the story of how the SWAT team was called in when someone saw his neighbor yelling and screaming while waving a gun around. It turned out the man was just angry at his computer – a feeling many people can identify with. Having spent last week dealing with a relatively new computer that decided to just stop working, I certainly know the feeling. However, a bar owner in Colorado may have gone a bit too far after taking out a gun in the bar and shooting his laptop four times (and then hanging it as a “trophy”). He was arrested for “felony menacing, reckless endangerment and the prohibited use of weapons”. Amusingly, the article quotes a policeman involved with the case admitting that “everyone threatens their computers” minutes before the policeman’s computer froze up.
