The Author is Living in his Own World

The author must be kidding! He’s living in his own world. Inventions that have computer software in the Specifications section of a patent application are alive and well. And Judge Mayer is simply misinformed. To understand why the author is flat out wrong when the author fantasies “death knell for software patents” see my Oct 2016 article “50 Years of Controversy Rages On: A Closer Look at Computer-Implemented Inventions” in IPWatchdog.
