… if you really want to give someone an idea of what SQL is about, you need to expose them to more than one dialect of it.

How about also including SQLite? That’s the world’s most popular DBMS—a copy is included with every Android device, and every Apple Iphone as well. And it’s sufficiently different from MySQL to make you think about what is “standard” SQL and what is not.

That would certainly get closer to “ultimate” SQL, don’t you think?
