Arthur writes “Two scientists from Xerox analyzing Gnutella users behaviour.” An interesting study. It basically says the majority of Gnutella users are “free riders” who don’t share anything back themselves. This hurts the system greatly, and the authors wonder if it will eventually bring down such sharing systems. Update: Here’s an article about the report in the NY Times.
