Groceries Online Catching On In NYC

The online grocery market has certainly gone through its share of ups and downs. However, over the past few years there have been a bunch of stories about a next generation of online grocery stores that seem to be getting more traction. One of the more famous is FreshDirect in New York City — where online grocery shopping makes a lot more sense. Apparently, residents there agree, as a new study shows that more than half of NYC residents have tried online groceries — though, that doesn’t mean they all have been happy with it. Still, it does suggest that there’s demand for such a service in some places (especially urban), if it’s done right.

Making the city more livable
NYC is full of small, dirty stores offering limited merchandise — one has to build a formidable database of where to buy various items, not to mention the time wasted going to different stores. This will make the city more livable — though I still wouldn’t want to live there.

I hope it makes New York more liveable. It would be nice for all the New York retirees to *stay* in New York rather than moving here and constantly telling me how ‘nice’ it was there.

New York is very livable. What it isn’t, however, is affordable.

Whats making the city more livable and affordable is the new service in the city that I started using called deliverysmith.com they have costco pricing and style of goods.

Too bad it is shut down for about 3 monthes now. It saved my life. Now i”m back to do two hours line at local Duane Read to buy very expensive diapers, toilet paper and so on…not to mention the canned goods that i was buying in bulk. This sucks….
