Right now republicans are allowing Moron trump(capitalisation not a mistake) to rip the country apart,Multiple economists of the highest level have been warning there is a 60% drop coming to the markets within the next 6 to 12 months if not earlier.
When that happens just hope you have a little land title that you have paid off and a little money saved as this time around republicans have messed up even worse than what happened in 1929, Much worse.
Surveillance will not be an issue when they do not have money to fund the surveillance.
