Hutch Making Video Calls Difficult

It’s a bit scary that Hutchison, the company that focused so heavily on video calling with its 3 subsidiary in the UK, still doesn’t quite understand how network effects work. While there are plenty of questions about whether or not anyone actually wants to do video calling, one thing is clear: if it’s impossible to do video calls with anyone on a different carrier’s network, then it’s going to be even less enticing. Even so, Hutch is being accused of stalling on reaching an interop agreement on video calls in Hong Kong.
