IHateWork Website Accused Of Making People Hate Work
from the oh-no! dept
Some people really do need to get a hobby. A group of small businesses in the UK is apparently angry at an amusement park for coming up with a silly ad campaign that tries to get people to visit IHateWork.co.uk. The Federation of Small Businesses actually believes that this site is making people hate work and skip out for a day to go to the amusement park. Do they actually believe that people who were thrilled with going into work every day suddenly realized, after looking at this site, that they really hate their job and should skip out for a day? Instead of getting all upset about this, perhaps they should have just taken a day off and gone to, I don’t know… an amusement park?

this is clearly reflects badly on the business’s management. sounds like assignment of blame rather than leading the way towards having responsible employeees.
Aha!
I read on USENET (so it must be true) that approximately ten percent of the population has no sense of humour at all. I guess that in Britain, they all work for the Federation of Small Businesses.
Wingeing about work is a good thing - apparently
This BBC article describes a book which says that employees complaining about an organisation may actually be good for that organisation.
